The Mothership NYC Talks Partnership w/ Citywide Doula Initiative to Bring Free Doulas to Harlem
The Mothership NYC has partnered with NYC’s Department of Health’s Citywide Doula Initiative to bring Doula Care to Harlem, Inwood, & Washington Heights.
Miranda Padilla, founder of The Mothership, spoke with CBS during Black Maternal Health Week, a time to acknowledge the disparities Black women face giving birth and the city’s recent support to expand doula programs, as more mothers seek a holistic approach to pregnancy New York City.
Mayor Eric Adams recently announced $30 million in funding for community doula and midwife services across the city.
Miranda Padilla created The Mothership NYC, a doula agency in Harlem, to help expectant mothers navigate the complicated process of giving birth.
